I was diagnosed 18 months ago within the last month I've had two bouts of severe vomiting and diarrhea 4-6 hours after eating. I suspect it was because of an intolerance. Any suggestions.

I live in NY and do well eating seafood here but the v&d has happened when in Florida,Mexico, and earlier in Calif after eating seafood. I suspect the waters the fish come from have something I can't tolerate. A stretch, but can't think of what else. When I suggest that to people they think I'm crazy. The second time, I was home and cooked shepherds pie. I used a ground lamb from a company I'm not used to. Imstarting a journal and hopefully will get a handle on it. Thanks for your input.

Hi Lizbeth,
My first thought was to question whether the seafood you ate was fresh or was tainted in some way? The vomiting is suspicious for sure. Did it seem more like food poisoning or could you tell any difference between that and a flare?
At any rate, I'm with Leah. When trying to sort out if a food is a problem the food diary is key.
Good luck.
