I found this interesting, and wanted to pass it on to you all.

And, I found this recipe that's helpful for those who like to make their own cereal:

Hi Linda,

 When I read your title, I thought, "Insert expletive here — another food contaminant to worry about."

But when I read the article, I found surprisingly good news:
"These findings indicate that popular cereals tested demonstrate remarkably low levels of toxic heavy metals in their composition," explained lead scientist Mike Adams. "The concentration of metals detected in these cereals was consistently lower than what we are finding in herbs, superfoods or even many types of fresh produce."
Of course, now we have to be concerned about herbs, "superfoods", and fresh produce.

Thanks for the link.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

That's the scary part, Tex!!!!!! The more you know, the more you seem to worry in this day and age!

I notice the rice-based cereals high the highest levels of metals. Arsenic maybe? Special K and Rice Crunch...
