Tex,

You're right. Signet and Oxford are one and the same.

Monique. I had the MRT tests and was shocked at the results. Common foods that I ate regularly were on that list; chicken, carrots, blueberries, crab, tea, etc. Without that test I'd be in even worse shape than I am now. IMHO, it is well worth the price. The lab is about 5 miles from my house and I called ahead and went directly to the lab to have my blood drawn. They didn't give me a discount but were very helpful when I went back to pick up my results.

If you are still sick and struggling, the MRT test is almost a necessity. My list of reds and yellows was so long I would never have figured it out on my own.

Hope you're feeling better,

Sheila W

Hi friends,

I ordered the MRT test from a nutritionist I found online. The test itself was $295 + $75 he wants for nutritional counseling. I couldn't get him to drop the nutritional counseling but he was the least expensive I found. I would have to pay a lab for blood drawing about $30. In total that's about $400. All the other ones want at least $600 including Oxford.

I called Oxford and asked them directly how much it would cost me if my doctor ordered the test and I couldn't get a straight answer from them. They kept going around in circles and never gave me a clear answer. They just told me I "might see it cheaper". Go figure.

Thank you all for chiming in.

Sheila---new book is on the back burner right now. Have a skeleton of a plot but as you know, I spend a lot of time plotting before I start writing. I have a location, have partial characters created, have my history and geography researched. If I could just feel better, I might start writing. Also, I have been busy with book signings and book clubs. Several book clubs have made the book their selection of the month ...so that's a good thing. :-)
