Hello all

Hi

I have been reading the forum and posting from time to time but haven´t talked much about myself...

Just a little update for you:
I am still with chest discomfort and breathing problems. (since August). Things have not improved.

It seems they had lost the orders for the tests. That is the reason it took such a long time until I got a day for the tests. We had to complain a lot in order to get these dates. Therefore they will be so late... And I assume I will not have a meeting with the specialist until January (or later) to talk about the results... But I will try to get it soon, it is my health and I cannot risk more waiting.

The dates of the tests:
On the 22nd (afternoon) I have to undergo an Exercise Stress Test
The following day, at 8.45 pm I have a Spirometry...

To be honest, I am a little afraid of the Exercise Stress Test. Well, not just a little: I am afraid.

I will keep you updated.
Love,
Tessa.

Tessa!

It is great hearing from you but am so sorry that your health has not improved. Take charge and make sure you get answers. Write the questions down in advance so you don't forget them during the tests/office visits.

Take care of yourself. How is hubby doing with the knee?

Have a Merry Christmas and holiday season!

Hi Tessa,

I agree, you've been getting some very poor service from your health care provider. I also share your concerns about the usefullness of stress tests as diagnostic tools.

I really don't see a reason why a stress test is an appropriate test for you, in the first place, since you already know that you have a respiratory problem. The spirometry results will show the extent of your pulmonary volume. What can the stress test possibly show, except that you have difficulty breathing, (which you already know)?

Good luck with your tests on Thursday and Friday.

Love,
Wayne.

I agree with Mars, Tessa. If I don't write things down I will surely forget something that I need to ask the doc and kick myself later.

I am so very sorry to hear that your health hasn't improved :rose: I truly hope it happens SOON!

Tessa,
I, too, am very sorry you are still having the same problems and nothing has improved.

I will be thinking of you and I hope your doctors, etc. do a better job in the future.

Tessa,

I'm sorry to hear things haven't improved. I hope you get your docs to listen to you, and you can get those tests over with!

I wish you the best with this, and a speedy recovery!!
