For LA/NYC friends

Post by maestraz »

OMG, run, do not walk to Babycakes GF/vegan bakery. I was at the one on Larchmont Blvd. in Los Angeles last weekend, and my daughter tells me there is an associated (maybe the original one?) in NYC.

I have pretty much given up eating GF baked goods, as I am so put off by the texture. But I tried a donut, after not eating a donut since probably 2010. It was heavenly! Light, wonderful texture and taste. I don't know about all the ingredients, but I had a happy little moment enjoying that donut, and I did not react to anything.

My daughter even ordered my granddaughter's birthday cake from there, not due to any food issues, and everyone loved it.

Lesley,
I'm from New England, but just got back from a visit to my daughter in LA. She lives not far from, and works at, Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
