Update: Mass Cell Allergies

Post by drdebc »

Hi All,
I am 62. Last Monday, I saw a local Holistic MD. She changed my blood pressure medicine (I had no energy before-needed to sleep up to 10 hours per night). She said the BP med I was taking made a person tired. Why do they prescribe such a med? The blood pressure med I WAS taking was Metoprolol Succinate ER 50 mg X 2 daily. This MD prescribed Losartan Potassium 25 mg X 1 daily. (The dosage will need to be "tweaked." 0

The REAL change in my D I suspect is the other things she is having me take. Metagenics UltraInflamX360. I am following the booklet by the rule. (We decided I do not need to re-introduce gluten and dairy as I have already eliminated gluten and dairy from my diet. It has taken 6 days for my body to emerge into non D!!!!

In the past, I paid a fortune for a million (exaggeration) of vitamins and minerals I was consuming. It is nice to know Ultra Inflam X 360 has all I need. She also prescribed Metagenics Co10 ST-100 but told me I could purchase it elsewhere for less. I refuse to take cholesterol meds and I was taking Red Rice Yeast which she was not too happy to note. (Previous MD said to take it)

On Monday, I go for fasting blood tests. Wish me well!

I have SO much energy now that I have cleaned my home and re-arranged it as well.

I thought I was dying. Now I am alive.

She agreed with everything and said allegra and benedril seemed sensible in my case. It seems she has an extensive background re: mass cell allergies.

It's always nice to find a doctor who agrees with what we've found to work.

Thanks for the update.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I searched the site and I see nothing about Metagenics. I am going to post a new topic in case this might help others.
