DJ,
Exhaustion was the most difficult symptom for me. You have probably read that I would fall into bed at 8 PM on a Fri. night, sleep until 9 AM on Sat......and then get up and feel as if I had never been to bed. It was awful! And it only improved very gradually - it was from looking back at one year and then 2 years after diagnosis that I was able to appreciate the improvement.
Even with the exhaustion, I continued to work out. Are you able to do so? I really think it helps.....at least to the extent that you can.
Two other thoughts. One, make sure that your cardiovascular status is OK. Women often don't have the same symptoms of impending heart problems that men do. The main one for women is fatigue/exhaustion. Also, dehydration/electrolyte problems can make one feel exhausted. Be sure to stay hydrated.
I hope you feel less tired SOON.
Love,
Polly
P.S. Great news, Gabes!

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Be sure to have your thyroid checked...free T3 and free T4 not just TSH. Low thyroid causes one to have extreme fatigue among many other possible symptoms. Check out www.stopthethyroidmaddness.com

Hi Polly, I'm happy that things improved for you over time and that you are exercising. I have not exercised since the onset of MC last March. Prior to that I was a power walker. I would walk a fast two miles at lunch fairly frequently. Since MC, I have the stamina to walk fast for two miles but by 5 or 6 pm, I'm falling down tired. My fatigue isn't during the exercise, it's later. I have no cyanosis, shortness of breath, heaviness in the arms or legs, dizziness, tightness in the chest, or pain in arms or shoulders. I will bring up my fatigue at my upcoming medical appointments and I will remind my family doctor to do another EKG. I have a history of downplaying my own health issues so I'm learning to take good advice. Thank you.
Hi Pat, I had my T3 and T4 checked not long ago and they were okay at that time. Thanks for thinking of it.
I see an endocrinologist in May for my bone density. I'll bring all of my lab work to him and I'll schedule with my GP too.

Can't always go by labs, some drs recommend treating symptoms. Have you taken your temperature lately? Check it several times a day preferably with a mercury thermometer. Also check cortisol levels, probably everyone on here has low cortisol. http://www.ehow.com/about_5184651_effec ... vels_.html
