Hi, Just read a large study about it about its use with SIBO's and it is effective against C-Diff. Jon

I've taken it and it did not help my MC. I do not have c-diff nor SIBO, been tested but GI doc still wanted me to try Rifaximin. Did not help. Do you have C-diff?

Hi Pat, Thank you for your response. It was mentioned as a possible antibiotic for MC. Jon

Jon,

We have several members who have tried that treatment (one member tried it either 2 or 3 times, because he couldn't believe that it wouldn't work. LOL). I'm not aware of anyone who had any success at all trying to treat MC with that antibiotic. It's good for "travelers diarrhea", but unfortunately, MC definitely isn't travelers diarrhea.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
