Day 3

Post by Lesley »

Of my going back to the real bare bones.
I am eating ONLY lamb, potatoes (peeled) and apple puree (TJs has one that is just apples, and today I made my own), and a tiny drop of lemon in my hot water.
I had several days of floaty, soft serve, pencil thin, poop, with mucous streamers, heavy, full feeling (that I get even when suffering C), some cramping, total exhaustion, you name it I had it. I decided to go back to the drawing board completely. Get it to stop, then address the inevitable C by taking a Dr. Shultze's, and see what happens. If what I get is closer to N keep it up and start to introduce one food at a time - carrots, then onions, beef, and so on.
If this doesn't help I throw up my hands. Surrender. No, not back to regular eating including gluten, dairy, soy, corn, rice, chicken etc., but eating the foods that seemed to preserve the status quo until this flare hit.
Today - no BM. Just the other stuff. I feel like I am wandering round in the dark with no idea what I am doing.
Oh, and I have been cutting down on the Nortriptyline. Opening the capsules, pouring out some of the powder, and putting it back. I think I have cut down about 30 mgs of a 50 mg capsule.
I have ordered LDN from India, and am sure I will be one of the people with sleep issues. If it helps I will be more than happy to be up for a night or 2.

Thanks Gabes! Crossing grey hairs is tried and true. I do it all the time. Of course I am grey, so it's no big effort.

I hope the LDN helps. My right thumb and middle finger started triggering again, which means more injections with steroids, or surgery. I can't see me managing without my right hand, especially since the dequervains in my left hand is acting up, and needs steroids or surgery too. And the CTS in both. Mess! As for the rest of me - a mass of achy pains.
I am hoping the LDN will help all the aches and pains that are so tiring.
It's more and more scary since I just turned 69, and I am so afraid of losing my ability to be independent.
So here's crossing and hoping!

Oh, Lesley. I hope the LDN works for you. I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Please let us know how you are doing. I'm thinking good thoughts and crossing fingers and toes as well.

Hey, Lesley, I'm on day 3 or 4 of the Israeli LDN (4.5 mg) and the sleep issues haven't been any different than usual, so it may not bother you either. PS I'm 69 too. I'm sore as ever but I will persevere since I have 2 bottles of the stuff.

Lesley....

I know it's hard to be upbeat at this stage of the game, but hopefully the new drug will help you find some normalcy. Something HAS to work, right? I pray this is it!
