Happy National Doctor's Day, Polly :bouqueofpinkroses:

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Today is National Doctor's Day, and despite our occasional bellyaching about our own experiences with some of our own doctors, we all realize that we couldn't do without them, and we're mighty lucky to have them — well, most of them anyway.

And we're extremely fortunate to have Polly as a regular contributor to the discussions on this board, because she, probably more than any other doctor in the world, truly does indeed understand MC, and how to properly treat it. Were it not for her help, and encouragement, this discussion board probably wouldn't even exist.

Many thanks, dear friend. I hope you're enjoying this day, and I hope that your patients appreciate you as much as we do.

Love,
Tex

Why, Tex, what a lovely and unexpected surprise! You are a sweetheart!

Thank you so much for the flowers and the kind words. I would like to return the compliment - as you have heard me say before, if not for this Board, I would undoubtedly still be sick. The reason I stick around (besides my undying admiration and respect for you) is because I feel obligated to "pay it forward" in honor of those early MC pioneers who educated and supported me in my darkest days.

Lots of love,

Polly

P.S. I hope you know how very much I value our friendship. I consider you to be one of my dearest friends, although we have never met in person. We have quite a history together, don't we? Almost like an old married couple. LOL.

I feel the same way of course. I assume that you remember that the only phone call I made each time just before I had emergency surgery, was to you. That speaks volumes.

Much love,
Tex

Jean, for some reason that comment made me laugh, but thanks — I appreciate the thought, even though you apparently have me mixed up with someone who actually knows what he's doing.

And thank you, Maggie, Ant, and Joan

I know that I appreciate both Polly and Tex and actually all the PP. I told my husband that I have no idea what would have happened to me had I not found this forum. I know no one else with MC except for this board and my many doctors are clueless! Thank you all!!!!!

Polly and Tex...

You have both help us so much and I too wonder where I would be if I didn't get the encouragement and hope from this forum. I would be doing alot more , but because of you I have been able to maintain hope and have found myself  at some of our posts.

Thanks again....we LOVE you!

Happy Doc's day, Dr. Polly. Thank you for your continued care of all of us. You and Tex could easily have moved on after achieving remission and a mostly normal life. Thank you for not abandoning all of us who came after. Tex, your book should be required reading for every GI doctor entering practice.

Thank you, Polly and Tex, for all of your hard efforts to make this forum possible. I am sure there are many others I could thank (if I knew who they were). It is an honor to have a doctor on this forum.

Hi PP Buddies!

Thanks to ALL of you for the very kind words. Any really valuable info I have learned about MC has come from everyone here over the years. And I think I learn something new every time I come here.
PP are THE BEST!!!!

Love,

Polly

P.S. Tex......remembering those phone calls - so scary - you will never know how worried I was. Thank goodness those emergencies are long gone! I am also remembering a call when we brainstormed safe foods that the hospital nutritionist could arrange for you. And, we will never forget our "origins" - how we came to establish this (new) MC website after those "bullies" (who shall remain nameless) sabotaged the old website. Those were some days!!! But together we supported each other and prevailed! Just like an old married couple! xoxoxo
