Zizzle, I know I have some form of candida as I have battled toenail fungus for many years. Never did anything for it as the drugs used to treat it are pretty tough on the liver. Although I don't have any pain, I do suffer from a fatty liver (non alcoholic as I have a difficult time with even a glass of wine). But I want to give myself the best possible chance for success on this drug. If it can help modulate my immune system, it's possible it will cause a cascade of good things to happen. In addition to MC & Hashi's, my doctors now suspect some sort of connected tissue disease such as sjogrens. It's a little tough but I can wait until my doctor has any and all information needed for him to feel comfortable writing the script for it. I know he has one other patient who has MC and is looking for an alternative treatment other than steroids. I printed out some of the most current Peer reviewed info I could find and passed along the name of this website. Not sure if she or he has joined yet but hopefully I've pointed him/her in the right direction. Can anyone currently on LDN provide another update?
