Anti histamines

Post by Dreambeanie »

Has anyone else found that taking anti histamines seems to really help alleviate mc symptoms.
I took them to help with symptoms left from a cold and had a lovely surprise!

Hi,

If you'll read some of the previous posts, you'll find that most of us here have found that antihistamines are useful for treating MC symptoms, and many of us take them regularly, because many of the symptoms associated with MC are due to mast cell/histamine issues that are a satellite symptom of the disease.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

'satellite symptom' I like that description Tex ....
or is another way of saying - out of this world? Highly technical and complicated? Likely to fail and crash to earth at any time?

oh the joys of life on planet MC!

Take them every day. That is a good clue for you to watch the high histamine foods you may be eating ( Google "high histamine foods") and be careful with leftovers -especially proteins. They get higher in histamines the longer they are stored.
