Allergic To ALL FOODS???
Sorry, new and needy here. Still taking one entocort and haven't seen Norman in about a month. Love to just drop the entocort but don't want to be back in the hospital with IV's. Had a natural pathic dr order me the entrolab tests and am overwhelmed by all the bottles tubes and paper work. Don't really understand if I'm supposed to store the samples in the fridge ew!!! until I gather all three days worth of samples and ship them over night? Probably should call the company. lol sorry Anyway, If I'm still reacting to everything I eat and taking one entocort will it be a reliable test? If the leaky gut takes such a long stretch of time to heal, will my body just create new allergies depending on what I'm currently eating? Seems like everything is processed in a facility with milk, soy and or gluten. Looks like no more coconut manna for me sigh and my gluten free brown rice tortillas are probably cross contaminated….and protein powder from a gluten free facility does't seem to exist. If I could be hooked up to an IV of bone broth for a year to heal I Would Gladly do it!!! Will ask my new GI about LDN on the 23rd but have no idea if she will be open to the idea. So disappointing to find that most drs say diet has nothing to do with it???? Feel like I probably wasted money on the MRT test but I'm grasping for straws here. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. re the protein powder... there are quite a few available that are GF/DF/SF. (and GMO free)
Price per serve works out about $2-$3
depending on the size of the container/tub. My 1kg tub, lasts me 4 weeks for 2 serves a day ($65 delivered to my door)
I make it up with Coconut water and Rice milk.

Thanks Gabes! Tried a brown rice one today but don't think my body agreed with it, just too hard to tell now. I seriously hope I'm not allergic to everything. Prior to my mc I ate a strict candida diet for 3 and a half years, no grains alcohol coffee sweets dairy almost no fruit, a random apple, I ate an anti cancer diet literally. Lots of fresh organic veggie juice daily and lots of raw salads and some meat and after my brain surgery reintroduced rice and some potatoes and then came the MCC. My guess is that my body was defending me for a long time against the brain tumor, possibly since I was a child and when it was gone, my body began to attack my next weakest link. My digestion. That doesn't sound like the test kit that I received the last time I ordered tests there (a couple of years ago). Only a single sample was required, and I thought the paperwork was minimal. I didn't realize they had changed the collection procedure.
After collection, the sample should be frozen immediately, to prevent further decomposition (and odors), and so that it can be shipped frozen.
Don't worry about the quality of the sample — since they specialize in testing stool samples from people who have inflammatory bowel disease, you can be sure that over the many years that they've been in business, they've seen anything and everything that you can imagine. LOL.
I would suggest that you call them to get answers to any questions that you might have. They are extremely helpful.

My best advice is;
dont over think it and stress (as that is a big trigger for many)
the digestion will be a bit more sensitive at the moment, small steps, it is about progress not perfection.
Like a baby when it goes from breast milk/formula to solids. Every new ingredient causes a messy smelly nappy!!
for any new foods/ingredients, try small amounts each day for three days. (only try one new thing at a time)
if after the third day no symptoms, it is a keeper.
If after the third day there is still issues, stop, let the digestion settle before you try another

If I'm not mistaken, that test is for bacteria and parasites. Geneva Diagnostics may be offering a food-sensitivity test now also (for all I know), but I know nothing about it (if it exists), and it certainly won't be as accurate or as reliable as the EnteroLab tests. Personally, I wouldn't waste my money on it, but that's just me.

There are some that do react to secondary contact. In the early days post Dx i only bought grass fed meat
Not meaning to scare you, most of the eggs sold in supermarkets are sprayed with Vegetable Oil (soy), to make them last longer
Alot of vegetables and fruit are also sprayed with vegetable (soy) oil so the produce lasts longer in the supermarket.
I peel/cut a fair bit of the skin off the veges etc. (it is recycled via the worm farm)
As there are soy crops are 'Organic' they can use organic soy oil on products and keep their organic status....
after my recent move, i now have a friend with chooks who is willing to change the feed so it doesnt contain Gluten /Soy so she can provide eggs for me.
