Fast, Delicious Chocolate Snack

Post by garina »

Mix 1 cup coconut oil with 1 cup chocolate chips. Liquefy in MW. Put in ice cube trays and freeze, or just put in fridge. I just put in fridge for a few hours, then broke it up for a snack when I get a chocolate urge. Great snack! I got this off one of the sites when looking up coconut oil recipes.

Also, Mix 2 parts coconut oil with 1 part cocoa powder (Hershey's). I sweetened it a little with Stevia. I put it in the fridge, then broke it up. Been eating a little each day.

If these have been posted before, I apologize.

you can also add cocoa butter (DF/SF) it gives it a smoother texture

I have also made lip balm by melting cocoa butter with Coconut oil and then letting the mix reset to room temp...

Thanks, think I'll try it. It is so hard to find chocolate that doesn't contain "bad" stuff.

I make coconut oil candy, 1/2 cup coconut oil, 1/4 cup cocoa powder (Now Foods makes some that is organic and nothing added) and 1 tsp vanilla extract (I make my own). Melt the oil, mix the ingredients, chill in the refrigerator. Simple. Same as Garina's recipe.
