MC-wise I am doing good. In the last week, I have gone from pain in one of my knees to not being able to put much weight on it. I asked my son-in-law to dig my walker out of the storage shed to help me get around.

Had an appointment to see a doctor Friday. He ordered lab work to check for infection and a bone scan to see if the implant has loosened.

I am probably facing revision surgery. For previous surgeries the doctor specified a GF diet on my orders. The hospital did very well with my diet. It was very plain but I didn't have much of an appetite due to the pain meds.

My motivation to lose weight has increased. At least this situation is manageable.

I don't know much about that procedure, but I hope that all goes smoothly, if it should happen to require repair or replacement.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hi Brenda,

Sorry to hear about your possible revision surgery. But good news that the MC is behaving! Keep us posted.

Thanks for the good wishes. I'm going to call the doctor's office tomorrow to see if I meet the criteria for a handicap placard. I'm not going many places lately, but that will help us manage. Wish I had thought about that on Friday.

Hi Brenda,

Sorry about the leg issues but so happy to hear the MC is behaving. Hope if you need surgery all goes well and it seems that they have the handle in the hospital for your diet.

Love, Maggie
