What is WD?

Post by gazeboy96 »

I see references to "WD" in many of the posts. What does that stand for? Thanks for the information.

I am a follower of the FODMAP diet, with modifications for my MRT restrictions. I manage fairly well as long as I can get to my supplies. I got sick in 2009, diagnosed as fructose intolerant and kept finding more and more items I needed to do without. I visit this forum every few months. My last visit led to the limitation of black pepper, which brought some easing of nighttime spasms.

This is a very impressive group, lots of help and caring.

I gave up all spices last Oct. when the D began. Being a diabetic I don't use salt so have always peppered everything. No more for me!

I am thankful for my struggle because without it I wouldn't have stumbled across my strength.

What are you willing to let go of so you can live the life you know you deserve?

I'm happy you didn't know what it means... Hopefully it means you've not experienced it! It's a whole-lotta no fun.

Ah yes, thank you. Now I will know.

WD has not been a problem for me (yet).

I have other GI problems that are under control but which are very limiting in terms of choices. I consider myself to be in a much better place than I was 5 years ago with the GI symptoms, largely because of the kindness of folks in online communities such as this.
