Hi Linda. i think you and I get the same e-mails from Chris Kresser. You might also sign up to get "Paleo Hacks" e-mails. I just listened to a few free interviews with experts on thyroid function. good stuff. I think it is worth ( with quercetin) a try if you are still having problems. I used L-glutamine for about a year.

Hi Leah!

I tried L-glutamine, and couldn't tolerate it. :( I'm still doing betaine hcl & Vit D3.

I really want to try the quercetin.

I will sign up for the Paleo hacks newsletters! My mother has thyroid issues, and I've always wondered, but the test that my PCP does hasn't concerned her. I know there are other tests, too., and I should probably explore them.

Knowledge is power, right?

How are you doing by now?

Linda
I have tried Quercetin (it is a quercetin/bromelain product)
http://www.bioceuticals.com.au/product/ ... Quercetain

for me, as I am C dominate, the higher doses of Magnesium, Vit C, and Zinc have worked way better... (and works out a bit cheaper)
(and daily I have meals that include home made bone broth for the gelatin and amino acids)

in the past week, as part of my revised protocol, the magnesium powder I am now using also has;
Glutamine (500mg) and Taurine (500mg)
I have found that now that the histamines are 'under control' i am able to handle these ingredients.
I have tried Glutamine in the past without success

(the Taurine is to help hypertension and fibromyalgia pain)
