Success with Problem Foods - don't give up hope!
Good news!
I have FINALLY been able to add back in some of my problem foods.....never thought I'd see the day. Have added back in some "yellow" foods from the MRT - cucumber, carrot, mustard, cauliflower, paprika, and most recently, WHITE potato! (Hallelujah for the potato - actually it was red-skinned potatoes that I tried). This week I am going to try pork. Wish me luck!
There IS hope, fellow MCers! Hang in there!
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
That's interesting Polly. I tested yellow to several you did: pork, white potato, cucumber. I can have small quantities of pork, like sausage casing on GF chicken sausage, or small amounts of bacon, but I haven't tried a pork entree. I tried yellow potatoes for the first time in 5 months and did OK. I never cut out cucumber, and it never bothered me either, but I eat it in moderation.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Polly, raw cucumbers? I LOVE the little Persian cucumbers. Cut up small with a tomato and some green onion, salt, pepper and lemon juice, it's the perfect summer salad. It's the basic salad in Israel, known as Arabic salad, but it's a middle eastern staple. How I miss it!
CAULIFLOWER? My favorite veg of all! Anything cauli is terrific!
