Meals & MC - eat only when you're hungry???

Post by Carrie »

A few years ago a friend, who was recovering from an eating disorder, told me her doctor told her to eat only when hungry. (He also said to stop eating immediately when she no longer was hungry.)

I was wondering if this would also work for MC. Or is it better to have regular meals, at more or less set times, so our systems "know" pretty much what to expect and when?

Hi Carrie, . . About having too much probotic, I think the only thing that would do to you is make you constipated. And I'm not so sure about aspertame - I don't use it because it seems to upset my stomach, but not a lot - I preferred saccharin, but now I realize saccharin has a lot of sulfites in it, so I'm using evaperated cane juice granules, or nothing, in my coffee and iced tea. Have you read my links to sulfite sensitivity? I feel like an evangelist! Love, Marsha

Howdy, I am allergic to Sulphur any sulphur product or sulfates. Can't even eat dried food since my last little goof up that put me in the ER with my throat closing, so I am real careful about what I eat. Dried fruit usually has Sulphates on it. Love The Herb Lady

Hi Carrie,

Loss of appetite was a BIG problem for me when I was not feeling well and experiencing symptoms. I'm feeling pretty well for the most part these days and find that it works best for me to eat even when I'm not hungry. When I eat irregularly for a day or two I just don't feel on top of my game. So for me, regular meals are important and I eat my biggest meal for breakfast or lunch.

Love,
Joanna
