Unleashing the power of consciousness, matter and miracles

Post by Gabes-Apg »

For those that like a bit of lay person science in their reading, just started 'the biology of belief', Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D.

Good read for anyone who wants some assistance as they embrace the realities that MC brings to your life, changing beliefs etc...
'There is no doubt that human beings have a great capacity for sticking to false beliefs with great passion and tenacity, and hyper-rational scientists are not immune'
The intention of the book is to translate the significance of leading edge science so that it is accessible to the lay audience .... Recognise that many of the beliefs propelling your life are false and self limiting . . . . . . The biology of belief is not a self-help book; it is a self-empowerment book.
I am only a couple of chapters in, yes health issues like mc have some linkage to gene's, gene mutation, it is the cells that is important bit....
Recent discussions, especially the one about mast cells, vitd3, and the vdr's, I am very interested in cell health, namely because we have the power to improve cell health, and increase our wellness. (Ie correct deficiencies... )

Cell health is affected by the impact of the environment they are within (thoughts/beliefs, emotion, chemical, food, medications, illness etc) that changes the cells.
We are not victims of our genes, we are masters of our fate.

Cell health is what Dr Terry Wahls talks about in her book "The Wahls Protocol" and Dr Jeffrey Bland talks about in his book "The Disease Delusion". The going away message is that genes are not destiny. They are turned on or off depending on our environment which includes food, toxins, stress, thoughts, emotions. Bland calls this a paradigm shift. I'll have to check out Lipton's book.

Thanks,
Jean

Absolutely! I'll drink to that paradigm shift!

And Harvard researchers have found that meditation can turn off those genes that are most commonly associated with stress-related illnesses.

I love the fact that there is now proof that we can have some control over our genes!

Love,

Polly

The book Polly is referencing is excellent, its called:

"The Relaxation Revolution" By Dr. Herbert Benson & William Proctor.

This group is from Harvard Medical school and through a very stringent scientific set of tests, proved that through using medication or other forms mindfulness to relax the mind daily, that the participants were able to alter their DNA which helped change the state of disease. This has now been studied a few times by different groups all with similar results.

Great resource Gabes and a good topic to bring up for discussion. We have the ability to actually alter our DNA in a positive way. Polly thanks for the recommendation for this book and Gabes thanks for this ad your other recommendations as well.

Another book Gabes got me hooked on was a book by Mark Nepo titled "The Book of Awakening"

I just finished Deepak Chopra's book, "Reinventing the Mind, Resurrecting the Soul"-- and he was also talking about research that shows how meditation turns off problematic genes. I checked out the book from our public library but I'm going to purchase it because I want to study it more. There was a lot of information packed into one book. I'm looking forward to following it up with some of the references you guys posted above.

thanks for sharing,

Carol
