Chris & Gabes,
You ladies are amazing with your knowledge and I certainly appreciate your sharing with us.
I've been reading about mag. oils and lotions on the link you posted Chris. I had a problem taking only 200 mg of cheleted mag. and am worried about taking it. So now I just have to decided what would be safest for me. I do have anxiety issues, which may be resolved by getting enough mag.

Nancy
this is not my knowledge, i am sharing it from a book.

I dont have the brain to process intricate science/biology actions like many others in this group, hence why any input, expansion, embellishment of what I am sharing is greatly appreciated

It feels like the universe is making sure we know about magnesium deficiency! All these articles etc

The magnesium miracle book that I have been sharing, came up as a 'others bought' option when I was on a book website last week.

Yesterday, at the pharmacy the Mega Magnesium tablet form that I was taking (one of the only soy free/potassium free versions I can have), was on special for half price! I looked up to the sky and said under my breath 'I get it, I get the message I am focusing on getting rid of my magnesium deficiency!!'

Off to my doctor today to see what he says about the Pyrrole results and if he will order the Magnesium RBC test, so I can get an accurate gauge of the Magnesium levles.

I ordered the Ancient Minerals oil and it was just shipped. I'll think of you, Gabes, when I oil up.

Thanks Sheila!!

I am chuffed that some good quality info on magnesium can improve wellness for others, regardless if they are D dominate or C dominate MC'ers

I have my fingers crossed that others have good results.

Did some more reading about magnesium during my 4hr sibo test today. More interesting information will be posted up tomorrow.

Donna, I ordered Ancient Minerals magnesium oil ultra. It was difficult to decide whether to order the cream or the oil. I get leg and foot cramps, although not as often as I did when I was reacting.

Gabes,

Does the Ancient Minerals have any laxative effect? On the 4 that are recommended by Dr. Deans, you mentioned if it did or didn't for 3 out 4 of them, but not Ancient Minerals. It does bypass the intestines, so is that my answer?

What is the difference between the Ultra & just lotion forms of Ancient Minerals??

Thanks!

Ancient Minerals versus Life Flo magnesium lotion

Post by Jumpindogs »

Hi all

Just wanted to share what I learned today. Called the Life Flo Nutritional Product Helpline to ask the amount of magnesium in their lotion...it is 330 mg per teaspoon. Ancient Minerals mag lotion has 185 mg magnesium per teaspoon. So at nearly half the cost...at least on Amazon and I can get LF mag lotion for even cheaper at my local health food store so maybe you all can too...and nearly twice the mag, Life Flo seems quite the bargain.

I had purchased both the AM mag lotion and the LF mag lotion at the start of my LC journey in May. Just used up the LF bottle and tried the AM last night. Yuk...my legs still felt sticky in the morning and I couldn't wait to shower that stuff off. The LF absorbs fairly quickly with no sticky residue for me. But that might be an individual thing.

Anyway, hope this info is helpful. Blessings to all.

I have used the Life Flo mag lotion for many months. I love it and it smells like vanilla frosting (to me). I also pick it up at my local health food store-very convenient.

Wow-330 mg per teaspoon is much higher than I expected! I wonder how much we absorb? Thank you for making that call Joanne and for sharing!

Hey Taia

I love the vanilla smell too! That's the natural vanilla oil. Here are the ingredients (nothing on the nasty lotion ingredients to avoid list) for any curious types: Purified Water, Magnesium Oil (Magnesium Chloride Brine), Cocos Nutifera (Coconut) Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerine, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Clucoside, Natural Vanilla Oil, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, and Xanthan Gum.

You're so welcome. Glad to be able to help...even if just a little bit...after I've been helped so much by the many caring, kind and generous people on this forum.
