Bulletin Board Version Upgrade

Post by tex »

I've just upgraded this board to the latest version available. A new version became available just before I went into the hospital, but due to all the modifications that I've made to this board, upgrading to a new version is rather tricky, so I just now got all the changes made to all the files, so that I could upload them to the server on which the board operates.

If upgrading had been done by the straightforward, simple manner, all the modifications that I've made would be lost, and I don't want to have to re-install them all again, as it takes many, many, hours to do that, so I made the upgrade by making the necessary code changes to individual files, one by one, which is also very time consuming, but simpler, in the long run. I think it saved all our modifications, though, so it was worth it, if it did, (assuming everything works correctly).

Since many dozens of files had to be modified, manually, with umpteen lines of code, it's not impossible that I made a code error somewhere, so if anyone spots something that is not working correctly, please let me know, so that I can correct it.

This version upgrade basically fixes a few minor bugs that were found in the previous version, and hopefully, fixes the auto log-in problem that the previous version had.

I had to disable the board while doing this, since the changes were so extensive, so that is why it was disabled for about 18 minutes, in case you tried to use the board, and couldn't.

Love,
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
