Theresa,

Knowing what I know now, I am trying to spread the word, help people to optimise their wellness,

A) there are reasons for these symptoms, if you know the root cause as it applies to you, the individual, what your 2/3 unseen iceberg contains, you can improve your wellness and have a healthy, happy, awesome life.
Minimising and masking symptoms only works for a limited time. Get to the root cause and do what we can to fix the cells, heal the body.

B) children and siblings, - if they know early in the piece what their 2/3 iceberg elements are, make some diet and lifestyle changes early, they can minimise the chance of chronic illness impacting their lives.

The health systems in our countries are not geared up to assist, be pro-active about root cause, whole of body approach to wellness. The individual has to research and make informed decisions as to what is best for them

Not sure about the USA, but there was some ethical type discussion here in aus in the past few years about women, who had the breast cancer gene, they got tested as their mother or sibling had breast cancer, doing preventative breast removal surgery. Quite often at high cost to the individual as the health system did not subsidise the surgery.

If you have the genetics dlq2 and or dlq8, Will removing the bowel stop celiac and/or MC happening?. No, tex can attest to that.
IMO, If you remove the major triggers (earlier in life the better) and do all you can to fix the cells that contribute to haywire immune system reactions, you can minimise the chances of issues, and chronic states occurring.
