Cprt Enema

I've been prescribed Cort Enema, twice a day. I was told to try to hold for 6 hours. HAA!

Anyone have any experience with this? Tips? First time I've done anything like this. It says to lay on left side for 30 minutes. I have to do morning and night. I already get up at 5 AM, hard to see how I'm going to do this AM and PM and hold it for any length of time.

Dr. explained that from biopsy spots, he thinks the Endocort may not be reaching the extremes of the lower intestine where I have the most inflammation (LC). So I'm to give this a 2 week try. He said, I should see results very quickly if it is going to work. If no results, than I can give it up.

Still on 9 mg. Endicort.

Hi Chris,
Haa! is right. I can't imagine holding anything for 6 hours! Interesting though it does seems reasonable that an enema would reach lower areas of the intestines. By Cort Enema do you mean Cortisone or Entocort? I look forward to hearing your follow-up two weeks from now. I hope you have great results!
