This quote from the site....is it true? Those of us with D dominant should be taking oxide?

There are reported differences in how different forms affect the gastrointestinal tract, however. Below are some guidelines, though individual results may vary and should be discussed with your physician before administration:
Oxide: tends to firm stools
Glycinate: A very gentle form of magnesium that is easier on the system
Citrate: tends to loosen stools
Sulfate:tends to loosen stools
Chloride:tends to loosen stools

What they say about oxide sure isn't true for me and I usually trust Kirkman labs, even order supplements from them. Magnesium oxide sends me straight to the bathroom or at least it did a few years back. Haven't tried it since. Magnesium glycinate causes me no problems. I have been using it for years. Of course it's more expensive than other forms.

I think I am more of an Magnesium Activist ... not sure I qualify for expert status amongst the wise knowledgeable scientific ones of this forum!

As Jean mentioned, and like most things in MC world, what works for one may not work so well for another.
I wish we knew why that was the case

6 -9months ago, there was a discussion about magnesium types and what settles best, and what worked best.
in that discussion what worked for Tex 2 years ago, wasnt working now, and he changed types.

I see there is a post today from Pat, that the derma oil is not necessarily working for her, and she has figured out an alternative option. (and it is cheaper!)

I am really chuffed, that for those when they find what works for them magnesium wise, there has been improvements.

Gabes,
I have upped my magnesium, zinc and vitamin c on your recommendation. It has helped with several areas, most notably energy during the day and restful sleep at night.
I am currently taking about 150 MG oxide during the day and 100 MG citrate at bedtime. Have been on this for about a week and so far no D.
