Good article on low stomach acid & autoimmune disease

Post by ldubois7 »

Realizing that I had low stomach acid, and supplementing with HCL has really helped me in my journey.

Thanks, Linda. I tried Betaine a year or two ago, not knowing I should have tested before trying it. It wasn't a pleasant experience and I never tried it again.

There is so much information out there about the ramifications of our, usually, multiple auto immune diseases, it is easy to get overwhelmed.

I read about an easy test for low acid. When you have heartburn take 1/2 teaspoon baking soda mixed in half a glass of water. If you begin belching right away you have enough acid, if not you are low. I tried this and I am not low on acid.
