Sun-dried tomatoes

Post by Marcia K »

Hi. I just read one of Dee's recipes and it called for sun-dried tomatoes. Are "we" able to eat them? It also called for pine nuts. I've been avoiding nuts but maybe it's time to branch out. I've been afraid to try anything new. Thanks!

"we" are not all alike when it comes to tomatoes/ dried foods/nuts. I avoided tomatoes and sauce for a year. I can now eat fresh tomato and a bit of ketchup, but still suffer if I take down a lot of sauce. I can have almonds and cashews, but for some reason, pistachios bother me. Test each food carefully, on it's own, and for three days straight.

I found after a fair bit of healing, there were ingredients that I could only have 1 -2 times a week.

For those that did MRT type testing, there is a system of Green (good) Yellow (so so) Red (avoid)
as Leah said, we are all very different, and foods that we can have now, we may not be able to have in 3 years time, and vice versa, stuff that causes big issues now, down the track we may be able to have. there is no fixed protocol or formula that applies.

as Leah mentioned, to be able to track what may or may not be ok, try one new thing at a time, small amounts.
Our digestion is a bit like a baby's, any new ingredient is going to cause a change in the poop! hence why you have small amounts for 3 days.

Thanks, ladies. I have pain today which is rare for me so I'm trying to figure out what caused that. I can't think of anything new that I ate, so maybe it was too much dark chocolate.
