News about Joe.
I had been waiting to get up to date information, before writing this post.
A couple of weeks ago, Joe had another mg episode, linked with blood clots and issues with his pic line, and various other concerns.
He was in ICU for 12 days, and was intubated for most of this.
This week, progress has been good. They are doing OT and PT to get his body back in action. I don't have exact details of where he is, or how long he will be in hospital.
His ex-wife Kristine, has been providing updates via a Facebook page.

At this stage this has been my only means of getting info.
Given the seriousness of the issue, it might a few days or a week before joe will be back online.
I do have his home address and pobox mailing address, if anyone wants it pm me, or email me.

Thanks Gabes, for the update. I'm very sorry that all this happened, but it's definitely good news to see that he's recovering again. You're right — that many days in ICU is mighty stressful. He probably feels as tired as if he had climbed Mt Everest, at this point.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thanks for the update Gabes as I was wondering how he is doing. The ICU is not a fun place since I got real familiar with it earlier this month when stepson was in for 7 days and in an induced coma due to gran mal seizures - took 9 of them in 8 hrs. He has recovered but is still as crazy as ever.
Joe has had a really difficult road to travel and I so wish him the best. Miss our ambassador at large here.
Love, Maggie

Good Morning!
I spoke with Joe last night! He is in rehab and feeling much better. He sounded just like his old self - was upbeat and laughing and looking forward to leaving the hospital. He plans to take it easy for the rest of the summer (not easy for Joe - LOL!) He may be able to be discharged within a few weeks - he is hoping around July 4th.
His family has brought Nestle to the hospital twice to visit him - I'm sure that was the best medicine!
It was such a relief to hear his voice and know for sure that he is O.K.
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
