Hi all. I just got my enterolab results and am sort of stunned--I reacted to wheat, milk, soy, chicken/eggs, corn, rice, oats, cashews, walnuts, almonds, beef, pork, tuna, and white potato. I have several initial questions for those of you who are experienced in this.
How can I possibly get enough protein in my diet with these restrictions?
Does this mean that, other than white potato and other night shades, I can eat all vegetables and fruits?
Does this mean that quinoa, millet etc are also suspect? What about GF flour?
Does this mean that all other nuts and seeds are ok?
Any thoughts or wisdom would be appreciated. I certainly expected wheat but all of these? Thanks, Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,
It's not that simple. While a test result above 9 is a positive result for wheat, milk, soy, and eggs, the test results for the 11 other antigenic foods have to be interpreted differently. You're probably misinterpreting them. In order to interpret the results correctly, you have to consider both the overall test score, and the individual rankings. The details matter.
There are plenty of other meat options.Suzanne wrote:How can I possibly get enough protein in my diet with these restrictions?
No, it just means that they were not tested.Suzanne wrote:Does this mean that, other than white potato and other night shades, I can eat all vegetables and fruits?

If you will post your results (or PM them or email them to me if you do not want to post them) I will try to interpret the results.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Well, as I mentioned in my email, your test scores are indeed quite high, so you have pretty much interpreted the test results correctly.
Hopefully other members who have similar food sensitivities will be able to offer suggestions to help you redesign your diet.
