Functional Medicine - previous discussions

** Work in Progress**
As many MC'ers have found, not all PCP / GP's are the same, not all specialists are the same. This applies to all practitioners across all disciplines.

Any time you are exploring/considering seeing any type of practitioner, use discernment before handing over your hard earnt money. Ask to speak to previous patients, ask if they have treated others with MC (MC is not the same as other IBD's). Be cautious of those where a condition of the treatment protocol is to take their supplements/tonics.

Years ago, the only way to have functional pathology testing was via these types of practitioners, demand was high and they could charge high rate of fees. These days alot of the testing is available direct to the consumer.

There are times that a specific type of practitioner is needed, again, use discernment, investigate the right one for you for the issue you want to explore.
Any practitioner who has your wellness at the core of their profession, should be aiming to see you a few times, give you the information and guidance so that you can use those tools optimise your wellness in an affordable sustainable manner.
