Heady's travels!

Post by Heady »

I am happy to report that my July week in Vegas with my 3 gal pals was terrific! I took two loaves of my GF silver hills flax bread in luggage. I went to whole foods for almond butter, eggs, unsweetened ice tea. I took slices of my bread in my purse shopping in case we stopped somewhere to eat. I ordered burgers with no bun, or wrapped in lettuce. I did experiment with small amount of salad before I left. Success! All went well. I was home for a week then off to Maui with my hubby for 2weeks. That trip was good except for the pizza I tried at the gluten free restaurant @Maui Brick Oven. I suffered the next day a little. The worst part was the trip home. Our flight left Maui 2hrs.(10pm) Late so we missed our connections. Finding food to eat in airports is difficult. Thank goodness I took my bread in my carry-on. The jet lag the past week was awful so I slept a lot and ate basics. Am back to feeling like myself again. Happy to be healthy! Life is great!

I am thankful for my struggle because without it I wouldn't have stumbled across my strength.

What are you willing to let go of so you can live the life you know you deserve?

Wow! Two trips in a row, and with mostly good results (except for the issues you mentioned). Good for you.

Thanks for sharing.

Glad your trip went well. I will have to remember that tip about keeping bread in your purse. My gal pals and I love hamburgers.
Also glad you are back safely!

How great that your trips went well! It sounds like you had fun, and eating wasn't too big of a headache.

That's great news. Packing to eat on the go can be unsettling. Glad everything worked out for you.
