Emily went Camping

Post by ronipow »

Emily went on her first camping trip with the girlfriends. I was a nervous wreck. We packed up all her food she could eat, pots and pans and the kitchen sink for one night to Enchanted Rock. It's hard to let go.

I can certainly understand about your fears. I'd be the same way, but I'm glad she is getting to do a fun thing with her friends. She needs that as well as the "structure" part of her life. We Mom's do hate to let go but in the end it's better for both. I know you know that, I also know it doesn't keep you from worrying.

Don't worry Roni! You have taught her well!

More children should have a mother like you!

I do understand though. My girls are 24 and 25 and I still "mother-hen" them to death! They get so aggrivated with me! :rose:

Don't cha just LOVE the smilies? They are just adorable! :sun:

I think she needed a break from me. I think she gets sick of me asking her every five minutes if she's OK.

Hi Roni,

Oooooh, this is exciting - Emily went camping!! I am so proud of you and her to do this

I know Emily is going to take good care of herself while she's gone; like someone else said, you've taught her well. I wish you could get a little break yourself and have some fun. Do something just for you. Something you've not had the opportunity to do for a long time. Perhaps just being yourself, by yourself, with yourself - just feeling the space around you and how much room there is and how much else there is in life besides taking care of your child. Soon your child will be grown and mature and capable of all kinds of things that you could not have imagined just a few years ago - and then it's time for you again.

Let us know how the trip went - and how the waiting time went at home.....

Love,
Karen
