Lesley,
Where is your urogynecologist located? I am going to the vulvovaginal clinic in Boston June 19 but if they can't help I may need to travel somewhere else. I have tried the yogurt and lactobacillus pills in the vagina but haven't worked. I know it's all systemic. I can feel it.
Brooke

Went to vulvovaginal clinic in Boston back in June. Sorry it's taken me this long to update. I was diagnosed with desquamative inflammatory vaginitis. I was given clindamycin cream and hydrocortisone suppositories and they did help some. There are a few huge BUTS. But, the gynecologist there was convinced the severity of my diarrhea and the damage I have from fluoroquinolones to my central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, and probably my autonomic nervous system and vagus nerve, were all the root cause of my vaginal, pelvic, and bladder symptoms. Over time some of the symptoms have improved but I now have burning neuropathy all over the inside AND outside of my genitals (thanks to Levaquin!). It is a nighmare I can't even begin to describe. I just think it is important to update on what my problem was--which wasn't the yeast infection from hell. The original yeast infection probably triggered these symptoms but I consistently tested negative for the candida after the first couple of weeks.
Strongly believe I have a form of MC that began to flare December 27, 2013.

So sorry. I wonder if you might get some relief from Low Dose Naltrexone? I'm not sure about its use for people who've been "floxed," but it's known to suppress inflammation originating in the central nervous system by calming down the microglia. After a couple of months, once my disease was under better control, my dysautomonia improved drastically too. No more scary low BP, tremor vastly improved, etc.
