help with vitamins and supplements

Post by Hopeful »

Hello, all you helpful people!
I am in week 2 of a strict elimination diet and I'm trying to figure out if I can take my usual supplements or not. I generally take C, lots of D, B-complex, glucosamine/MSM, quercetin (for allergies), magnesium, potassium, and calcium.

Is there a list of vitamin/supplement suppliers that guarantee no gluten, dairy, soy, corn?
At this point I'm trying to be SO CAREFUL of everything I put in my mouth.
Thanks for your help, as always - Hopeful

Many of the supplements are free of allergens, read on the bottles you already have. If I can't get them locally I order them from
Freeda Vitamins and I just noticed these are available with free shipping to prime members on Amazon.
Be very careful because some supplements are irritants and cause problems for us.

Thanks, Theresa.

Some of my supplements mention soy oil or other ingredients that I think are corn-based. I'll check out the company that you suggested.

Besides C and magnesium, which can cause diarrhea in large doses, what supplements are "irritants"?

www.iherb.com always lists all the ingredients in the supplements they sell, both active ingredients and inactive ingredients. It's a good place to shop for supplements. They also tell you if it is gf, df etc.
