Protein Powder Option
So for a long time I have been on the hunt for a protein powder that doesn't send me to the bathroom.
Over the years I have tried so many, I've lost count. I know rice protein seems to work well for some people on here, as well as Vega's plant based proteins, but they didn't work for me unfortunately.
However, it seems I may have found one! It is by Manitoba harvest, and it's called Hemp Pro 70.

It's hemp, but its broken down somehow and has all of the fiber removed. I drink it with water and a few drops of vanilla stevia.
Just thought I'd post this in case someone else is also on the hunt :)
The only issue I could find with it is hemp is listed as a potential cross reactor with gluten, but, so far so good for me.
Some might say, why not just eat real food? For me, its helpful because I can only eat specific foods that can take awhile to cook, so this is the one quick meal I can grab. Also, I lift weights, so it is nice to have a fast-absorbing post-workout protein source. Hemp is also supposedly a highly bioavailible protein, but I haven't looked at the research on this.

In MC World, with multiple intolerences and histamine issues, when you find something that works, that is affordable 'GO FOR IT'!!
really happy that you found a good protein powder
I would be lost without my protein powder, it was my staple when I was moving house, travelling, work meetings over lunch etc etc, most days now, I am working in the garden, so I sip it while working to keep protein levels / carb levels going in my body, yet it is not a heavy meal that stops me from physical work
Compared to pre-prepared meals and takeaways it is way way more nutritious. And again in MC world, what others class as 'real food' is a highly inflammatory energy draining meal for us.

Gabes,
My thoughts exactly! its a god send to have something that you can take with you on the go and not have to think much about it. I am on day 50 something of my elimination diet, and this is the one thing I have introduced. It has been about 2 weeks on it, so I figured that was long enough to declare it a victory.
It's not the cheapest thing ever; I bought the first container at whole foods for 30$ for 16 oz. But, then I found it on amazon at 23$ for 32 oz., which is much more reasonable.

I too am a weightlifter and I'm always looking for a good tasting protein powder for my post-workout shake. How's the taste? I've tried several vegan products in addition to other proteins that taste incredibly chalky. Thanks for posting this.

Cathy,
Honestly, I don't think it is chalky at all. It is very smooth. It has an earthy/nutty sort of flavor, but I actually kind of like it. It's not sweet at all, but I think the same company also sells vanilla and chocolate flavored versions. I usually just mix it plain with water, but sometimes I add some liquid vanilla stevia if I want it sweeter.
