My nutritionist told me that when you have a lot of diarrhea you trigylercides will go down and when you begin to absorb from foods it can go high. Anyone agree?

My trigylercides went from 127 to 312 and should be lower than 150.

Hmm...I don't know about that. Maybe someone else does? I do know that high triglycerides typically go along with a high carbohydrate diet. Did your diet change between those tests? You might want to look at how many carbs you're eating and try to shift to a little more fat and protein.

Carbohydrates, particularly simple sugars and refined carbohydrates, raise triglyceride levels. Sugars are turned into tryglycerides in the liver. Too much HFCS and/or fruit juices are a big culprit. If you have not changed your diet since before they were elevated, then you are absorbing more of them. Kristen is right. You might want to eat less refined carbohydrates and simple sugars and more protein and vegetables. A value of 312 is a bit too high.

fortunately my triglyceride level went down to 204 recently, but still needs to go lower. Due to my restricted diet while healing I have been unable to eat vegetables until lately. The only fruits I've eaten for a year are bananas. I never drink fruit juices and definitely stay away from fructose. Thanks for the advice.

It's tough when you feel like you're backed into a corner with what you can eat. I hope it continues to improve!
