Tex-Best way to go off Asacol?

It's not a corticosteroid, so it shouldn't have any affect on the adrenals, or any other organs, therefore it should be safe to stop abruptly, or any other way you choose. I'm not aware of any rebound effect that has been recorded in the literature, so theoretically, there shouldn't be any reason why you can't just stop cold turkey. That said, it probably never hurts to do at least a short taper in order to help your body adjust to doing without the medication, but it shouldn't be necessary to do that.
