You know Margie? I would be happy to start with 'let there be Norman on earth, and let it begin with me' Then we'll think about world peace.

Either I have the flu, or I've developed brand new issues. Love, Marsha

P.s. Oh yeah, this isn't about me. I'm REALLY happy that you had a good day. Simple food = nonemergency bathroom trips!

please delete this if we shouldn't write in your journal, I can't remember

Hi Margie

Sounds like you're on a roll. Great job. You must be feeling more hopeful. Air bubble might be a mild bursitis. Does it hurt more if you reach back? Try ice & rest & biofreeze. Sending you healing light. Love & light, Rita

Hi Margie,

Just reading your journal. Yes, you've gotta work on the breakfast, don't you. I used to feel nauseated in the mornings too.

Wendy's chicken salad - I became pretty ill last summer after eating one of those. I think the parmesan cheese and the spices gave me the explosive diarrhea that afternoon. I was travelling and it was the pits.
Back then I had only just started the GF diet - I skipped the crutons; but I was still not dairy free so I ate the cheese.

How are you feeling after the salad?

Love,
Karen

Loose stool this afternoon - with some formation but smelly - pee U

Could tell I ate salad. It had bacon, white chicken chunks, yellow cheese, tomato, greens, iceburg lettuce, cucumbers. I think thats all.

No cramping, no bellyache but had to get to the bathroom fairly quick.

Gonna have Wendy's chili for dinner - gluten (hahha) for punishment I guess. I don't add crackers or anything to it. We wil see if it causes any problems.

Oh, wait - if the doctor says it is gas, I might not want to eat the beans! WAH  I'll figure it out.

Dinner - eating Chili from Wendy's
Doctor says I have plurisy - started on 5/31 in the late afternoon - left side shoulder. As of pm Wednesday - pain is also on right side. Arms hurt also - can't lift much weight due to the inflamation.

Taking Mobic (anti-inflamitory low dose due to CC) will rx a narcotic if pain is no better within a few days

Thursday - June 2

Breakfast - None (still gotta work on this)

Snack:
1 1/2 cup mixed fruit (fresh) included red grapes, muskmellon, cantelope, pineapple

Lunch:
1 Salad (large), greens, iceburg lettuce, cucumbers, white chicken breast, cheese, bacon crumbles, tomato, ranch dressing

Dinner:
Chicken fried rice
Broccoli and chicken (chinese style)
Soy Sauce

No symptoms
Still taking anti-inflamatory drug (2nd day) symptoms are on both sides now and loose coughing. Pain/spasms in arms - no strength

Otherwise feel good. Norman is still in the house! Formed. Slight discomfort when I need to have a "movement", almost feel the path it's taking! Ewww (sorry)

Friday - June 3

Breakfast - None AGAIN

Lunch
Leftover Chinese food - Broccoli, chicken and chicken fried rice
Used a small amount of soy

Mild cramping when I need to go to the bathroom - no too bad, not comfortable either

Dinner
Augratin (sp) potatoes - homemade
2 Chicken wings
1 slice of ham
2 bites of cherry jello w/fruit cocktail

Really struggling since I don't do a lot of cooking during the week. Hard to find food that sounds good.

Still having problems w/plurisy - seems to be changing to Wet type vs. Dry. Now have sputum and coughing makes the pain worse.

Pretty tired today - busy at work though - not enough time to finish anything! Drives me NUTS! This is the end of the week and I am usually "done for" at this time. It takes almost a full day (Saturday) to get enough energy to do anything around the house so I am now working a 6 day week, I guess.

I am eating better foods, or is it healthier and better for me! I am still not where I need to be but am doing ok for "me", meaning, I am trying to avoid obvious gluten and not eating sweets, etc. (sigh) I'll get there, just not as fast as I would like.

Still not loosing weight either. Maintaining the same weight within 2-5 lbs. (Big Sigh) This is now affecting my attitude and self esteem sometimes (mainly when trying to find something to wear that I don't feel huge in) Need some ideas folks!!!!!

Oh Margie,
Please don't be too discouraged. I know it's not easy but I do believe you can do it. Don't :mallet: yourself too much. It's a big thing you are doing.

I am in the boat with you as far as the weight goes. I try to cut down, eat more healthy foods, eat less fattening foods - weight stays the same and even went UP this past week. I've got to beat it though. I can't stand myself either.

Hi Margie,

I agree with Shirley - don't beat yourself over the head with a stick. There is enough to get you down out there already  - not to mention your current condition (I forget the name of it).

With a full time job it can be hard to find time and energy to prepare good food for yourself too. I know it is - I'm getting a little bored with my own cooking too!!

I think it's important to figure out what you like to eat that is fast to cook and then stock your refrigerator and freezer with the necessary ingredients so everything is right there when you get home. All you have to do is pull out a few things and pronto you have a delicious meal. How do you do that, you ask?

My favorite is a steak with ketchup and some sauteed vegetables. The vegetables are good fresh but they take a long time to prepare so I often use a bag of frozen veggies - perhaps I add a few of my fresh ones to it.
Another easy and healthy meal is something with eggs and veggies.
Oh, yes - and baby back ribs - easy!!

Those are just a few not too creative fast ideas.

Love,
Karen

Do you do much Crock Pot cooking. That's a good way to have your meal ready when you get home.

Hi Margie, Since pleurosy is an inflammation of the lining of the lungs, it shouldn't give you congestion (which would involve the insides) I think. Are you getting a cold? Nasal drainage? ears ok? Love, Marsha
