Luce,

This is just a WAG, but since sugar is one of the most common causes for Leaky Gut Syndrome, (LGS), (behind alcohol), and LGS is what causes toxins from the lumen to wind up in the bloodstream, for victims of autoimmune diseases such as MC, maybe corn syrup is much more prone to triggering LGS, than other forms of sugar. Just a guess.

About corn syrup: it and other refined corn products start their refining process in a bath of sulfur (dioxide, I think). I'll find the link. Maybe that's the reason. I can eat some corn products, but not others, and I've been assuming that it's because some of them are higher than others in sulfites.

Dee!!! That is sooo interesting about the blood types. Do you know if the magazine is published online and if there is a link to it? I have A- blood and am wondering if that would be A1 or A2? Thanks.

Love,
Carrie
