Anti-Spasmodics

Post by audreyjhess »

Has anyone been prescribed Anti-Spasmodic drugs to treat MC? My D is controlled with pepto, but it seems that before and after (especially after) I "potty" I have problems with gas pain and bloating. I have had these types of issues my whole life, now being magnified because of MC it seems.

Any feedback would be most appreciated.

I have just been prescribed meberevine (an anti-spasmodic) just last week because I experienced acute RHS pain due to inflamation. It is usually prescribed for IBS but I have found it has helped and has meant that I have been able to reduce my pain meds almost completely!

Thank you Anne. I go to doc on Friday and I'm going to ask about the possibility of that or a similar drug.
