Vanessa
I was searching for a different post and saw this one from a couple of weeks ago - realised that i meant to reply.

I have been researching taking SAMe - due to methylation issues it is recommended.

It is not as easy as that,

a) if you are deficient in other nutrients/minerals the body will not be able use the supplement form of SamE properly.

b) I just did the 23andme testing and am now taking those results and using other websites to translate the data into useful information.
what i have learnt thus far is that certain gene mutations will cause issues that hinder the bodys ability to process SAMe, (read about Methyl donors) so even taking supplement form of it wont help.

My initial thoughts thus far, if I correct the issues from the Gene Mutations my body will produce enough SAMe and use it properly. So there should not be any need for supplementation.

Hope this helps
