dietary yeast

Post by Deanna »

I don't know much about dietary yeast. Do I need to be concerned about it if I am being very strict about GF, DF, SF and all sugars free?

Hi Deanna,

Maybe, but I believe that probably less than half of us are sensitive to yeast, and this sensitivity typically fades away after we reach remission. IOW, for most of us, it's not a serious concern.

If I were in that situation, I wouldn't worry about it unless I were unable to achieve remission after a reasonable length of time on a diet that avoids all the other main food sensitivities. But that's just my personal opinion.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
