turkey

I am searching for protein products. If a person reacts to chicken, is that person more likely to react to turkey. Also are there cross reactions to other fish when one reacts to tuna?

Hi Deanna,

Turkey is an excellent alternative to chicken, because virtually everyone who is sensitive to chicken appears to be able to tolerate turkey quite well. Lamb is another meat that virtually everyone seems to be able to tolerate.

Yes, most members here who are sensitive to certain species of fish are often sensitive to certain other types of fish, but not all fish. And those who are sensitive to certain fish can often eat shrimp and other crustaceans.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
