Hi Sarah-
Welcome... glad you found us, but sorry for the reason. Loved your post, and loved the empathy video. This sucks, and the timing does too.

I am a relative newbie myself and I don't have the perspective or knowledge of many others on the forum. However, I can totally say "Amen, sister" about the relief/joy of just going pee... and many other things besides. For one thing, I have also been very frustrated by my interactions with most of the medical professionals I've encountered in my journey. I am also very sensitive to medication, and have reacted badly to about 75-80% of all that I've ever taken. I briefly tried Apriso (Mesalamine) but reacted to that. I am afraid to even try a corticosteroid. I don't take any medication at all, and seek to manage my symptoms strictly through diet (eliminating all trigger foods) and mindfulness practice (for stress management).

Like you, I did not think I was sensitive to gluten, and I thought I knew by trial and error what I react to. I decided to pay for the EnteroLab tests anyway, and I am very glad that I did. My results indicated that I react not only to gluten, but also to oats and sesame seeds, all of which were part of my diet. Since I received my results, I have completely eliminated all the foods that the tests indicated are reactive for me (regardless of severity), and I am feeling much better as a result. Yes, they are expensive; for me, they were absolutely worth every penny.
