Well..... I have been taking things a bit easier and not needed to take Budez for a month nowI have a hunch that if you decide to retire from the consulting business, and devote your efforts to writing (and relaxing), you will have less need for Budez in the future. Wink
I have had about 5 short occurrences of urgent D and/or bloating in the month, but they have only lasted a few hours (unlike the days/weeks when I was first suffering). Now, without any medication (just diet) I quickly return to an ok mix of normans/non-urgent, non-watery loose stools.
Without wanting to tempt fate I feel that after over 4 years of needing to treat myself with diet and Budez/Entocort my gut has sufficiently healed and/or my anti-transglutaminase antibodies have sufficiently reduced to take off the training wheels and go diet only. If this is the case it could give hope to others who feel they will never get off the drug.
As an indication of a slow but steady healing, I noticed about 6 months ago that I only needed to take one capsule to bring down a flare. Whereas before I needed to knock it down with about three consecutive days of three capsules per day before tapering back to a maintenance dose.
I will need to see if this improvement lasts. But for now, unless I go into a long term flare, I will not take the drug.
Perhaps my signature line is coming true?
Best wishes to all, ant
