Hello again! Just popping in.

Post by natythingycolbery »

Hey everyone,

So after a years absence for a variety of reasons I have rediscovered this site and plan to try an be around again. For those of you who haven't seen me around before, hello! My name is Katy!

Anyway, just wanted to pop back in with an brief overview of a slightly busy year. Hopefully the photos I share will be viewable. I live in hope!

The MC is currently still in remission. Although I am being highly naughty and eating foods that I am apparently intolerant too but I'm not reacting at all, although I know I am tempting fate so I am now starting to cut back on these things.

I returned to university in January to finish my final semester and to get the grade I needed and this happened;

Don't ask why one sleeve of my cardigan is down and the other one wasn't, it was 8am and I was not awake!

Yes I graduated from university with a 2:1 BA(Hons) in English, which meant I got the mark I needed to progress onto the Masters degree. Actually finish my first semester a week today!

Also, in May I jumped out of a plane, not sure why I decided that was a good idea. BUT I loved doing it and want to do it again. Here is my favourite picture from that.

And finally- In October this year, after 11 long years working at the bakery I got a new job... at Mcdonalds. So essentially I've just moved from one place I can't eat food from to another. But I did it because I needed the change and I needed money really. Currently enjoying the new job too, which is surprising.

So yeah, that is me and what I have been up to. Hope you all have a nice day!

Hey Katy,

Congratulations! Awesome news! You have indeed been busy. Good for you.

And moving away from working in that bakery should be much better for your health also, because even though McDonalds is not GF, at least they should have much less wheat flour floating around in the air than a bakery would.

Jumping out of planes is something that I never had a desire to do, so you definitely are ahead of me with that accomplishment.

Great photos, and thank you for the update.

I love the jump picture! I usually have my head in the clouds- and there are you- with your toes in them!

Thanks guys :)

Graduation was such a good day, it has taken me so long to get to it that I still can't believe I made it.

Tex- I still haven't figured out why I agreed to jump out of a plane in the first place, I am petrified of heights!

Hi Katy,
Congrats on finishing school! Great accomplishment. Sky jumping is on my bucket list of things to do. I laugh that my husband is going to have to push me out when I'm up there but I'm bound and determined to give it a try. So glad that you enjoyed it!

Katy,

How great to hear from you. I was thinking about you just the other day, wondering how you are doing, and here you are, giving an update!

Congratulations on your graduation. And on jumping out of an airplane. I used to think I'd like to try that, but really I'd be terrified. Good for you for doing it even though you're afraid of heights.

Love,

Because you are young and determined to live life to the full. Jumping out of planes! FUNTASTIC. MC is an "old ladies disease".... Hah!......... NOT!!! It strikes all at any time.

"Per ardua ad astra".... "through hardship to the stars"..... the RAF motto.....not bad concept for PP also.

Best of luck and congrats on your graduation!
