IMO, this sentence from the report is the most important:
Strains displayed different degradation rates and cleavage patterns that resulted in reduction but not complete removal of immunotoxic epitopes.
As we all know, partial reduction won't get the job done. And of course, there's the nagging problem of approximately 300 other reactive peptides in wheat, barley, and rye that this treatment does not even address.
I definitely agree with you, but apparently, for some people, not eating gluten is not an option.
As I've pointed out many times before, some people will do almost anything to be able to eat gluten. So trying to use bacteria from pig guts to try to enhance digestion shouldn't come as a surprise, I suppose.
Thanks for the link to prove how medical researchers are working tirelessly to make sure that gullible patients will continue to have options available to them that will allow them to be able to damage their health while pretending to use a "legitimate" medical treatment.
