I'm thankful for the archives on this site. Leah, I have acute sinusitis similar to what you had and was prescribed doxycycline yesterday. I was afraid to take it and wanted to stick with Sudafed, neti pot, nasal spray, turmeric. Well, one day later and I'm now wheezing as well as coughing and just started with chills. I just took the first doxy and am praying there will be no D. I'm taking S. Boulardii and hoping for the best. I just finished MacroDantin for a UTI so anything is possible.
It's time to stop messing around with my diet and cut out the night shades I've been eating as well as ice cream and Parmesan cheese. I wasn't sick with an infection when I was very strict with my modified Paleo diet.

Good luck with the treatment Sheila. I hope it works quickly and without any adverse digestive system consequences.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
