Met NORMAN!

Post by humbird753 »

Hi everyone,

No one would understand how exciting this news is except those who have gone through what we have here.

I met Norman last evening for the first time in 5-1/2 years!!! Feel like I've given birth, but without the pain - just the euphoric high!!! I'm such a proud Mom, and have named him none other than "NORMAN"!

I have been GF and DF for at least 2-1/2 years. I found this site a bit over 3 years ago, but it took me awhile to catch on to what MC was and also what gluten was. I've done more reading than I did the first 58 years of my life.

I am so thankful for everyone here and all the educational resources.

Love,
Paula

Congrats, Paula!!

Continued success to you!💩💩💩

I agree we need to be our own advocates, and to continue to read and learn, and remember that our body has an innate intelligence, and we have to listen to it, too.

The guidance by the experts on this site are invaluable, as well!

Congratulations Paula! After so many years of dedication, detective work, and diet restrictions, it's great to hear that all your hard work is paying off. I hope that you have finally reached the point where you will have smooth sailing from here on.

I did mean to add that I started making my own bone broth about 6 weeks ago. I believe it helped boost the healing!

Hope Norman stays around.

Not exactly something that one would put on their Facebook page! But so nice to be able to share the good news with us folks who really understand what an important milestone this is!

Great news, Paula. Even after being in remission for a while, I'm still tweaking my diet, mostly eliminating things. You've started the healing and that is the most important thing. I'm hoping Norman visits every day.

Great news! You are right that nobody understands that excitement unless they have this disease. I also celebrate 'dry farts'

Thank you everyone for your comments. Things are still going well for Norman and me. I'm surprised that he even came to visit because I have had quite a bit of stress going on for well over a month now - contemplating on leaving my job, and that's a hard thing for me. I have never been unemployed. My goal is to find a part-time job (3 days a week) to help me transition to eventually full retirement, rather than have no work at all right away.

BTW Teresa, I celebrate "dry farts" also (lol).
