Found a great restaurant..

Post by TendrTummy »

Hi all! Happy Friday!!!!! (the 13th..)

Found a restaurant in the town I work in called Biatti's. Makes me wish I was aware of it sooner. It's Italian, but more specifically, they offer optional GF pasta (not sure yet what the pasta is made from or if they make it themselves..), and use all natural/organic foods. I had Chicken Piente today - chicken marinated in this awesome sauce that is totally natural, I think it was garlic, honey, sage, rosemary.. something else. Anyway, add to that a veggie mix of carrots, onions, and green and yellow zuchinis, and they tossed in bread, but I gave that away. The chicken was also cooked with portabello mushrooms somehow.

Anyway, my friend and I discovered it in a hunt on the internet for restaurants with GF locally so we could go to lunch on Monday together. So I'm going again on Monday LOL. Going to try some GF pasta and will report back. The other good thing is they're nationwide in various places - I think the website is www.biattis.com. Check out their locations, see if one's near you..

So.. Just stopped in for a few.. have to turn the computer back over to the hubby now ;)

Love,
Christine

Christine,

My 'puter couldn't locate this. Perhaps it requires the apostrophe (sp) before the "S" in the name of the restaurant. Hope I can remember to check that out when I'm through here.

Thanks, sure hope we've got one of those here! In a way, it sounds familiar.

Yours, Luce

Can't get it either place.

Did you happen to see a location in Houston?

Thanks! Luce

OOps!!!

I guess it's a "G" not a "T"..

Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano
http://www.biaggis.com/

Doesn't appear they have any locations in Texas as of yet.. sorry :(

I found an odd little site that is a link on a celiac support group regarding GF travel, check it out - I think basically it discusses restaurants, good and bad, by subject, but you could do a Search and search for Houston...

Darn! There's not one anywhere near me. But I can always hope. And I can look for this restaurant when I travel. Thanks for sharing.

Love,

Polly

Christine-

I have *never* seen an Italian retaurant advertise *GF pasta available* before! That is awesome! I will make a note of it for next time we make it to the Twin Cities! Thanks!

Mike is there right now for work and he is going to make a stop at Bittersweet GF Bakery for me and bring home some treats!!!!
